This is seriously impressive and is a wine that should age for decades and about the only nit is that the 2009 version is perhaps slightly less refined than other recent vintages

Not the most generous fleshy wine at the moment

damp earth and the sauvage are trimmed in admirably discreet wood

Colombier, Hermitage Blanc Vintage:2009 that much is obviousLight, bright straw yellow. A deeply perfumed bouquet evokes pear and peach nectar, honey, vanilla, toasted almond and smoky minerals. Rich and fleshy but lively as well, offering sappy orchard, pit fruit and marzipan flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes chewy, focused and long, with lingering pear, honey notes and a hint of anise. Josh Raynolds
